Dr. Kelley Chester is an experienced informatics professional in the health care and public health fields. She is the co-founder of Thought Bridge LLC and Principal of C3 Informatics LLC. Both firms provide scientific and technical consulting for public health organizations including state, territorial, local, and tribal health departments, public health professional associations, nonprofit organizations, and federal agencies.
Prior to founding C3 Informatics and Thought Bridge, Dr. Chester was a Research Scientist at RTI International where she was an integral part of the BioSense 2.0 Redesign project team leading the prototype development and community engagement activities. In addition to her extensive work in domestic public health, Dr. Chester has also worked on global public health projects including a logistics project, tracking childhood vaccines from port to point of administration in resource-constrained countries in Africa and Asia.
Dr. Chester received a Doctor of Public Health degree concentrating in Public Health Leadership, a Master of Public Health degree concentrating in Biostatistics, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. All three degrees were earned at Georgia Southern University. Dr. Chester also holds a Juris Master degree from Florida State University College of Law concentrating in health care regulation. Dr. Chester also completed certificates in Public Health Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Women in Leadership certificate from Cornell University. Dr. Chester is an adjunct faculty member at both the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health at Georgia Southern University.
Dr. Chester is an active volunteer in her community. She currently serves as a Volunteer Director for Women in Technology, a non-profit that empowers girls and women to excel in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM) from the classroom to the boardroom. Dr. Chester is also the founder and chair of the Southern Women Leadership Institute at her alma mater with a mission to inspire, prepare, and empower young women to seek leadership opportunities within their chosen profession.
