STEVE UGGOWITZER

Steven Uggowitzer is an engineer specializing in information management and ICT for public health and international development. For the past eighteen years Steven has developed innovative approaches to adapt technology to the needs of governmental and international institutions. He has held senior technology positions in WHO, Health Metrics Network (HMN) and NGOs, supporting ICT work in data management for global pandemic response, including with GOARN, for the SARS and 2005 Tsunami responses. He brings extensive HIS, digital health and IT operational experience in LMIC contexts including leading the deployment of DHIS2 in Sierra Leone, Sudan and Eritrea, Indonesia, Myanmar. Steve is a member of the eSHIFT Board of Directors.

Steven Uggowitzer has over twenty years experience in engineering internet technology, information and management systems; with over 15 years of international experience in public health and global health related information systems, deploying mission critical tools in large enterprise environments; and ICT support to health technical programmes at global, regional and country level. 

Currently focused on interoperability and systems architectures based around DHIS2 and other "global goods" digital tools.
